Make A Card Monday

0

Hi there crafty friends, hope you all are having a good Monday.

This past weekend I took a trip to Michaels to pickup some Recollections colored card stock and stumbled across a few sheets of 12×12 patterned paper that I couldn’t resist. The first paper is called Ditsy Blue Floral, which is a bold floral print in hues of blue, pink and yellow. I paired the floral paper with the Wood Planks pattern paper and a sheet of navy chevron embossed card stock and instantly fell in love. Right away I knew I would create a sheet load of cards using this combination of papers.

My first card features the Grand Watering Can and Floral Clusters die from Poppystamps. The sentiment comes from the Poppystamps Greeting Basics stamp set which is stamped in Versafine onyx black ink onto a piece of white card stock and die cut with the Poppystamps Colwell labels die.

The second card uses a SVG file called “Pocket Full of Posies” by Yankee Doodle, which I purchased from the Silhouette design store. I die cut the pocket image from the Chevron embossed card stock with my Cameo 3 and added white stitching using my sewing machine. I then die cut an array of flowers from my MFT Stitched Blooms die set and popped each of the flowers and leaves up with foam tape for dimension. The sentiment is die cut three times from the MFT Hello die set.

The third card features the Poppystamps Country Wheel Barrow and Floral Clusters die sets. The Happy Birthday sentiment comes from the Greeting Basics stamp set also by Poppystamps. I paired the Ditzy Floral paper with some red gingham paper from my stash and added some enamel dots for added embellishments.

After creating the first three cards, my crafty mojo continued with this stunning Father’s Day card. I used the Recollections Wood Planks patterned paper along with the MFT tools die set and my new Ink to Paper “Happy Father’s Day” sentiment die. Each one of these cards are super cute and were so much fun to make.
