Poppystamps – Graceful Heart

1

Hi Friends! I hope you all are doing well and having a nice week. I am stopping by today with a Valentine’s Day card for the Poppystamps design team. Today’s card highlights the popular paper piecing technique featuring the Poppystamps Graceful Heart Frame Coverplate.

To get started, you will need to die cut the Heart Frame image 3 times using Metallic Gold, Red Glitter, and Dark Green cardstock. Next, you will remove the gold inside pieces of the image from the frame and simply adhere the frame to your white A2 card base with some liquid adhesive.

If you own Stick It adhesive, you could apply the Stick It to each of the sheets of cardstock, before die cutting the frame multiple times.  This would allow for the frame and each of the inside pieces to have a sticky backing, making it easier to paper piece the card together with the multiple colors of cardstock.

Next you will adhere the coordinating red glitter heart and large leaf pieces into the outline of the gold frame using some liquid adhesive. Once all of the glitter pieces are adhered. You will then adhere the coordinating green cardstock pieces for the smaller leaf images into the gold frame.

Lastly, stamp the sentiment Happy Valentine’s Day from the Poppystamps Valentine’s Fun stamp set in Versafine Onxy Black ink and your card is done. Simple, quick and stunning! If you are intending to make several Valentines’ Day cards this season, this design can easily be mass produced.

I hope you have enjoyed today’s card share and found inspiration. Until next time….Happy Crafting!

Make A Card Monday – #Manuary Cards

0

Happy Monday crafty friends! I hope you’re having a good start to the week.

For today’s Make a Card Monday project, I am participating in Crystal Komara’s Janaury challenge to create a masculine theme card. All month long Crystal is challenging herself and others to create masculine themed cards and to post their creations to the #MANuary Cards on Instagram.

Today’s project is using the Beer stamp set from The Ton Stamps. This large 6×8 stamp set is a layering set that allows you to create a realistic pint of beer. This stamp set is not only perfect for the men in your life, but it is also perfect for anyone who enjoys beer. I’ve had this stamp set in my collection for over a year now and Crystal’s card challenge was the perfect reason to pull this from my stash to make a card.

Here are the details on the card:

The A2 size card base is made from a 110 lb. Neenah Solar White smooth cardstock. The card front panel is cut from black cardstock using the second die from the MFT Stamps Stitched Rectangle Stax A2 die set. Then sponged with white pigment ink using a Distress Ink blending tool to give the card its chalkboard appearance. The coordinating “Happy Birthday …you deserve a beer” sentiment comes directly from the stamp set and was heat embossed with fine detail white embossing powder. The pint of beer focal image was stamped with Altenew Inks in the colors Butternut, Warm Sunshine, Pumpkin Pie, Morning Frost, Silver Lake and Gray Denim. I fussy cut the beer image with my scissors and adhered it to the card front panel with some foam tape for added dimension. Lastly I embellished the card with a few Nuvo drops in the color simply white.

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project share and found inspiration. Until next time….Happy Crafting!
