MFT Wednesday Sketch #495 Challenge

0

Hey there crafty friends. Today I am on the blog sharing with you the card I made for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #495.

This week’s card sketch below is showcased below.

To create my card, I first die cut my rainbow and cloud from pastel colored card stock scraps using the MFT Straight-up Rainbow dienamics. Next, I used my MFT Mini Cloud Edges stencil and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink to create my cloud background. For the sentiment, I used the MFT Color My Rainbow stamp and die set. Where I stamped and heat embossed in white embossing powder the words “you” and “my world” onto a strip of black card stock. Then die cut the word “color” from the sentiment die in 3 layers of black card stock.

To assemble my card, I adhered the rainbow and cloud onto my inked background with foam dimensional tape. Next I placed the black sentiment strips just to the left of the rainbow following the pattern in the sketch.

I had a blast playing along with this week’s challenge. I hope you’ve enjoyed my card share and found inspiration. Leave a comment below to let me know your thoughts on today’s card. For more paper crafting inspiration be sure to follow me on Instagram at paper_crafting_elegance.

MFT- Wednesday Sketch Challenge #494

0

Hi there crafty friends.

I am stopping by to share with you the card I created for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #494. This week’s challenge was to create a card using the sketch below.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is MFT_WSC_494.jpg

Here is my card entry.

This week’s sketch challenge uses the MFT “No Place Like Home” stamp and coordinating die set. I die cut the house, tree and shrub images using colored card stock scraps from my stash. I popped up the house image with some foam tape for added dimension.

I stamped the sentiment in two parts, by stamping “Congratulations” first onto the white oval card stock panel and the “on your New Home” onto a white banner sentiment strip. The banner strip is popped-up on foam tape. The pattern paper is the Ditzy Blue Floral and Wood Planks 12×12 papers from Michaels.

I really enjoyed playing along with the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge. Tune in next week to see how I interpret the next challenge.

Happy Crafting!

Make A Card Monday

0

Hi there crafty friends, hope you all are having a good Monday.

This past weekend I took a trip to Michaels to pickup some Recollections colored card stock and stumbled across a few sheets of 12×12 patterned paper that I couldn’t resist. The first paper is called Ditsy Blue Floral, which is a bold floral print in hues of blue, pink and yellow. I paired the floral paper with the Wood Planks pattern paper and a sheet of navy chevron embossed card stock and instantly fell in love. Right away I knew I would create a sheet load of cards using this combination of papers.

My first card features the Grand Watering Can and Floral Clusters die from Poppystamps. The sentiment comes from the Poppystamps Greeting Basics stamp set which is stamped in Versafine onyx black ink onto a piece of white card stock and die cut with the Poppystamps Colwell labels die.

The second card uses a SVG file called “Pocket Full of Posies” by Yankee Doodle, which I purchased from the Silhouette design store. I die cut the pocket image from the Chevron embossed card stock with my Cameo 3 and added white stitching using my sewing machine. I then die cut an array of flowers from my MFT Stitched Blooms die set and popped each of the flowers and leaves up with foam tape for dimension. The sentiment is die cut three times from the MFT Hello die set.

The third card features the Poppystamps Country Wheel Barrow and Floral Clusters die sets. The Happy Birthday sentiment comes from the Greeting Basics stamp set also by Poppystamps. I paired the Ditzy Floral paper with some red gingham paper from my stash and added some enamel dots for added embellishments.

After creating the first three cards, my crafty mojo continued with this stunning Father’s Day card. I used the Recollections Wood Planks patterned paper along with the MFT tools die set and my new Ink to Paper “Happy Father’s Day” sentiment die. Each one of these cards are super cute and were so much fun to make.

I hope you have enjoyed this weeks Make A Card Monday session and found some crafty inspiration. If you would like to see more of my card creations, be sure to subscribe to my blog and follow me on Instagram @paper_crafting_elegance.

Doodlebug Designs – Let’s Party Gift Tags

0

Hey there crafty friends!

Today I am sharing 3 handmade tags I created using the new Doodlebug Designs 6×6 paper pad called “Let’s Celebrate.” This collection is the perfect theme for a boy birthday celebration. Although the collection comes with amazing coordinated ephemera, stickers and Doodlepops, I used stamps and dies from my collection to embellish the tags.

Some of the dies I used include the layered Pinata die set from My Favorite Things. A rosette and Birthday sentiment die from Alina Express. The party hats are from the Birthday Bash stamp and die set from Queen & Company. While the wavy Happy Birthday sentiment and banner come from Lawn Fawn. The layered tag set used for this project comes from Jaded Blossom.

If you are a fan of Doodlebug Designs like me, you are just going to love the new Let’s Party and Hey Cupcake collections. If you make gift tags with these collection I would love to see your creations.
